This collection was created specifically for an exhibition that brought together the paintings of Inês Pargana and newly written texts by Gonçalo M. Tavares. Inspired by Tavares’s book Mr Brecht , the paintings gave rise to a new set of original texts by the author, forming a dialogue in which images spark words and words return to illuminate the images.
In this series, imagined characters and narrative scenes intersect with Tavares’s distinctive literary voice, creating a world where painting and literature deepen one another and open space for storytelling in multiple directions.
