Honorable Mention – Public Vote
This series was created for the 1st Portalegre Tapestry Competition, where it received the Honorable Mention – Public Vote. Although conceived as tapestry cartoons, the three works stand as an autonomous artistic cycle: flowers, fruits and seeds — a loop with no beginning or end.

“Em pé de igualdade” (On Equal Footing) depicts humans and non-human animals in a shared circle, protecting a small sprout rising from dark soil.
“Está nas tuas mãos” (It’s in Your Hands) presents fruit as an act of generosity and justice — sharing what the earth gives, letting its falling seeds invite action.
“Não seMente” (Seed of Truth) focuses on those seeds as vessels of potential: what grows depends on our choices, our gestures, our care.

Together, the three works form an interactive cycle that asks viewers to engage physically and conceptually, reminding us that justice, peace and sustainability only grow when we cultivate them.
